Will I feel “high” or impaired with any smoking cessation treatments?

Most smoking cessation treatments do not cause a “high.”

However, some medications can cause side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, or reduced concentration in some people. If any treatment with potential effects on alertness is being considered, this is discussed in detail during the consultation.

Patients are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery if they experience any impairment from prescribed medications.

Are nicotine replacement therapies safe?

Nicotine replacement therapies are widely used in smoking cessation but, like all treatments, they are not risk-free.

Suitability depends on factors such as your medical history, current health conditions, and how the therapy is used. Potential side effects and safety considerations are discussed during the consultation.

No treatment is recommended without individual medical assessment.
