Heart Health Checks

Find problems early. Act before symptoms start.

Heart disease often develops quietly.  Blood pressure rises slowly. Cholesterol changes without warning. ECG abnormalities can sit there for years.  By the time symptoms appear, you are often already behind.

Heart Health Check is a structured, evidence-based assessment designed to identify risk early and put a clear plan in place.

Who should consider a Heart Health Check?
  •                  Adults aged 45–74 years
  •                  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  •                  Patients 30 years and over
  •                  Patients with a family history of heart disease
  •                  People with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking history, or excess weight
  •                  Anyone wanting a clear baseline assessment rather than guesswork

  • Results are reviewed and your absolute cardiovascular risk is calculated .
  • GP Review to decide whether lifestyle changes are sufficient and / or arrange further tests or referrals
Medicare and fees

Why this matters

Most heart attacks are not sudden events. They are the end result of years of silent risk. Prevention works, but only if you measure properly.
